Cynthia J Jones

Judge Jones is a Colorado native and a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder.  She graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 1992.  Judge Jones also earned a master’s degree in history from Southern New Hampshire University.   Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Gaspar Perricone in Jefferson County.  Cynthia then worked as a Deputy State Public Defender in various jurisdictions for approximately 18 years.  She also worked briefly in private practice and then worked as a solo practitioner from 2013 to March of 2018.   Judge Jones was appointed to the Clear Creek County Court Bench in March of 2018.    Judge Jones is a member of the Clear Creek County Community Review Board and is active in her community. She enjoys the rich history of Colorado and Clear Creek County.  In her free time, she enjoys her dogs, outdoor activities during all seasons, and reading both fiction and non-fiction.
