Judge Yoder was appointed to the 7th Judicial District Court bench on March 1, 2016 by Governor Hickenlooper. A resident of Telluride, Judge Yoder has been practicing law on the Western Slope since 1999. She received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan in 1996 and a juris doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1999.
Prior to her appointment, Judge Yoder worked for nearly 14 years as a prosecutor in the 7th Judicial District—most recently serving as the Assistant District Attorney. Between 1999-2002, she practiced in the area of general civil litigation and employment law.
Judge Yoder's judicial caseload includes civil, criminal, juvenile, probate, and domestic relations cases.
