Judge Lung first resided in Colorado to attend Regis University where he completed a triple major Bachelor of Arts Degree. Judge Lung returned to Colorado after graduating from law school in 1997. He has lived in what will become the 23rd Judicial District (Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln Counties) exclusively since 1997. After graduating from law school, Judge Lung was employed by the District Attorney’s Office – Family Support Division in the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln Counties) and then as the Assistant City and County Attorney for the City and County of Broomfield before being hired by the 18th Judicial District as a District Court Magistrate in 2003. He served as a Magistrate until 2016 when Governor John Hickenlooper appointed him to be a District Court Judge. He has exclusively served Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln Counties as a District Court Judge since his appointment. He routinely volunteers for local charities, churches or high school level mock trial events and regards his entire legal career has been in public service.
