Magistrate Ward was appointed as a District Court Magistrate in April 2023. Prior to his appointment, he practiced domestic relations and civil litigation at TM Ward, LLC; his practice included modest-means and pro-bono representation of survivors of domestic violence and underserved communities. He is committed to furthering access to justice to individuals without the means to retain private counsel, and works to improve attorney participation in legal clinics and pro bono service through his efforts on an affiliate bar association committee that produces training for attorneys that volunteer their services to underserved communities.
Magistrate Ward is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School and the University of Maryland, College Park’s Smith School of Business; he worked in consulting before becoming an attorney. Magistrate Ward's docket includes District Court civil matters and forcible entry/unlawful detainer matters.
