Summary of Job Classification:
Manages and coordinates the judicial department’s Learning Center, including daily operations, facilities, technology, equipment, and materials. Updates and maintains exhibit content and technology. Leads community outreach and communication efforts and participates in public information and education initiatives and events. Coordinates and leads group tours. Trains and oversees tour guides. Serves on Judicial Department’s oversight committees. Coordinates courtroom and courthouse technology for supreme court and court of appeals, including audio/visual, virtual court, livestreaming, and archiving.

Fiscal Responsibility:
May assist in the collection of data in support of recommendations for functional area budget allocations. May monitor division or program/promotional level budget and expenditures.

Maintains interactive electronic learning exhibits and a video showroom. Updates and maintains content and technology for the interactive exhibits. Coordinates copyright and license agreements for training materials.
Works closely with SCAO Financial Services Division on budgeting for the Learning Center.
Coordinates and conducts for group tours of the Learning Center and Courthouse. Trains and arranges tour guides. Ensures accessibility accommodations are available. Recommends innovations to the Learning Center and tours.
Maintains courtroom audio/visual and livestreaming equipment. Troubleshoots issues and provides training to staff. Works with vendors on audio/visual systems as appropriate.
Designs and manages the livestream and archive website. Oversees virtual and hybrid oral arguments. Dockets livestream and archives recordings of oral argument. Serves as the point person for streaming service vendors. Troubleshoots streaming service issues. Trains court staff on conducting virtual oral argument.
Serves as the representative for the Judicial Learning Center Oversight Committee and as a member of the Appellate Technology Committee.
Coordinates meetings, tours, speaker requests, and mentoring requests for the appellate courts, including working with the Head of Judicial Diversity Outreach, SCAO public information officers, bar associations, and legal specialty groups.
Organizes community outreach trips and public engagements. Creates offsite courtrooms, incorporating recording and archiving technology. Works on public access engagements, including hosting educational events for students. Travels with the courts to locations state-wide.
Provide administrative and customer service support when necessary. Answers questions for litigants and other court stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Psychology, Education, or related field.
OR
Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in an educational or training field.

Medium Work - Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
