Summary of Job Classification:
This position assists the Colorado Judicial Department with external third-party partner/vendor/outsourcing including the development of scope of work, contract terms, and sourcing strategies for all contract types. The position serves as a liaison between the Judicial Department and individual vendors during the contract management lifecycle. The Vendor Liaison II classification is distinguished from the Vendor Liaison I by the assignment of more complex duties and by serving as a subject matter expert.

Employees normally perform assignments according to their own judgment, requesting Manager assistance only when necessary. Special projects are managed with little oversight and assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance reviewed periodically. The impact of actions is significant.

Recommends policy, process, and procedure changes and/or uniformities to the Vendor Liaison Supervisor.
Establishes and maintains successful vendor relationships.
Collaborates with Judicial Department staff to ensure effective contract management.
Collaborates with the Vendor Liaison Supervisor to develop processes by which vendors are evaluated and
measured during the contract process.
Assists with ensuring that each vendor meets Judicial contract and program criteria, according to established guidelines.
Assists with the development of internal management reports.
Assists with monitoring activities of insurance, background, and certification requirements on existing contracts
and works with vendors to cure noncompliance.
Assist with vendor outreach and research.
Provides training, guidance and assistance to vendors on conducting business with the Judicial Department.
Attends meetings and trainings as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibility. Works as a senior level vendor liaison. Provides input on work objectives/ effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed. The work performed by the majority of employees is semi complex.
Education and Experience Equivalency:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Additional work experience in contracting, purchasing, or managing vendor relationships may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience contracting, purchasing, or managing vendor relationships.
Knowledge of:
1.Principles, practices, and techniques of managing contracts, and enforcing contract provisions.
2.Federal or state laws, codes and regulations, and practices pertinent to areas of responsibility.
Licenses and Certifications:
None.
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
