Division Setting Times

General instructions on how to Set a Hearing and to complete a Notice of Hearing or Status Conference form (JDF 1122) can be accessed here. A Notice to Set Hearing (JDF 1123) is used to make an appointment with the Division Clerk to set your case for a hearing before the Judge or Magistrate.  A Notice of Hearing (JDF 1124) is used after you have been provided with a hearing date and time by the Division Clerk. These JDF Forms can be accessed by selecting Self-Help Forms from the navigation menu located at the top of this web page.

How to make your appointment

Please check your calendar. Refer to the applicable setting schedule for your case type and division:

The day you pick should be at least two weeks from the date of the filing.  Use the information from the division setting schedule to complete a Notice to Set Hearing (JDF 1123).  Note: If you are filing a Notice to Set in a domestic case and are in an uncontested or default status, please use Notice to Set for Uncontested or Default Final Orders Hearing (Pro Se) (FCF 1015) instead of JDF 1123. Follow the instructions and file the original with the clerk's office in S101.

The setting date is a non-appearance date. When the day and time you have selected for making the appointment arrives, call the Division you have been assigned to.  Please call once and leave your name and telephone number. Someone will return your call as soon as possible. The phone numbers for the Divisions are listed on the setting schedule.

When you have received your hearing date and time, you are ready to fill out and file the Notice of Hearing (JDF 1124).  Follow the instructions, and file the original with the clerk's office in S101.
